What happens after you call

The part people worry about most is whether anyone turns up. So every step has a time on it.

  1. 1Within the hour

    You tell us the job

Call or text with what needs doing, and a photo if you have one. From 7am to 7pm, you hear back inside the hour.

  2. 2A two-hour window

You get a price and a window

Most small jobs get a written price from the call or the photo. Then you pick a two-hour window.

  3. 3On the way

    We text before we knock

When our handyman leaves the job before yours, you get a text with the time he'll be at your door.

  4. 4Before the window closes

    Running late? You hear first

If the job before yours runs long, you get a call before your window closes. Take the new time or pick another window.

  5. 5Price confirmed first

    At your door

We knock inside your window and cover the floor where we work. The written price is confirmed on your phone before work starts, and nothing bigger goes ahead without your OK.

  6. 6Invoice and photo

    Shown working before we leave

We run the fix in front of you and leave the room as we found it. The itemized invoice and a photo of the finished work come by text the same day.

If we're late, you'll know first

Any job that opens a wall can run late. This is what you can hold us to when one does.

The window promise

Every visit is booked into a two-hour window you choose. You get a text when our handyman leaves the job before yours. If that job runs long, you get a call before your window closes, with a new time you can accept or swap for another window.

The one-year workmanship warranty

Our work is covered for a year from the date on your invoice. If something we fixed or installed stops working in that year, call and we book a return window at no charge. Parts we supplied are covered by the company that made them.

What a visit costs

The visit buys the trip to your door and the first hour of work. After the first hour, time goes on the bill in half-hour steps. A second job on the same visit runs on those same steps, so the trip is paid once.

Say the door gets planed and the mirror goes up in an hour and twenty minutes. That bill is the visit and one half-hour step.

For landlords and managers

One contact for every unit, and a two-hour window the tenant can plan a morning around.

  • You tell us who meets us at the door and how we get in. The tenant gets the same two-hour window and on-the-way text.
  • When we're done you get the itemized invoice and a photo of the finished work from inside the unit, the same day.
  • Turnovers between tenants, and the one repair a tenant keeps texting you about.

Where the two-hour window runs

The window works the same in Long Beach as it does in Northridge.

Before your window

What does a visit cost?

The visit covers the trip and the first hour of work, then time goes in half-hour steps. The price is written down and agreed before we begin, and nothing on it changes without your OK.

How long is the window, and who picks it?

Two hours, and you pick which two when you book, from the first window of the morning to the one that ends at 7pm. On the day, a text tells you the time we'll be at your door.

What happens if you're running late?

You get a call before your window closes, with a new time. You can take it or pick another window.

Which jobs need a licensed trade instead?

Swapping a faucet, a light fixture, a ceiling fan or the insides of a toilet is handyman work. A new circuit, a gas line or a re-pipe needs a licensed electrician or plumber. If your job is one of those, you hear it on the call, before any window is booked.

Can one visit cover several jobs?

Yes. Tell us every job when you call and we book one window long enough for all of them, so the trip is paid once. Get a free quote
